Don't you just love these cute little crochet hearts? This free crochet heart pattern includes three different hearts that you won't want to stop making once you start.
Use them to make bunting or a heart garland, add some dimension to a card, or sew as an applique on another project. Grab your hook and some leftover yarn and let's learn how to crochet a heart.
Do you remember being disappointed as a kid when you learned that our actual hearts aren't really pretty or cute like the hearts we use to represent love?

I watched this happen with my kiddos recently. My son had been asking about how blood moves through his body so we pulled up some animated YouTube videos about the circulatory system.
As they showed the cartoon veins and anatomically correct heart my kids were so confused. What is THAT?!?!
That's a drawing of what your heart looks like….
WHAT?!?!? HUH?!?! That's a heart?!?!
My daughter, who loves all things pink, hearts, and unicorns, was especially confused.
Why doesn't it look like a heart?
uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh……………
Well I, for one, am glad that we have a cute symbol that does represent love, emotion, and feeling. I don't think I'd be very good at drawing or crocheting anatomically correct hearts.
